I love your book “sucks to be me” but to be honesty, i don’t think i can really wait for the second one! Its going to drive me CRAZY waiting! im almost done with “sucks to be me” and so far is AWESOME!! i can’t stop reading it. waiting until 2010 is going to be really HARD for me!!!!!! I just wanted to say I LOVED “Sucks To Be Me” and I can’t wait for the sequal. It’s different from other vampire books out there. I love your sense of humor! That’s one of the things that reeled me into this book. It was really refreshing to read a different, very funny vampire book. It’s so hard for me to find books with your sense of humor. Lauren Myracle is one of my favorite authors also because of her sense of humor but I gotta say, I like yours a little better

Thanks, that really makes my day! I love Lauren too (and she’s awesome in person). Have you tried E. Lockhart or Sarah Mlynowski? Or some of Dan Ehrenhaft’s books (like 10 Things to Do Before I Die)? Niki Burnham and Cameron Dokey? Anyone else have any suggestions?
Try the Vampire Kisses Series. Not as funny as Kim Pauley’s veiw on vampires (which i love), but still sweet and light. Rosemary Clement-Moore’s Prom Dates to Hell is good, There are 2 others in that series that I know of. I know a lot more, but they arent as light, more dark fantasy.
Hello there. Wow i have read 24 chapters and i still have 4 to go… but since the sequel isn’t out until next year, im not going to finish the first part yet because it will leave me with too much anxiety!

I loved your book “sucks to be me” it was a refreshing take on vampires (it was also very funny) I really loved it!! Its one of my favorite books. I read through it in one night, i just couldnt put it down. I didnt know there was going to be a sequal until i visited your website. Now I cant wait for it to come out!!! I was just wondering when it was going to come out…and what it was going to be called so i can look for it in the bookstore (if your allowed to that is)

today i saw sucks 2 b me in my school library i only red 1 chapter but i loved it! the whole ‘parents being serious about being vampires’ weirded me out but i found it hilarious

Just like everybody else, I’m another true fan of the character Mina. Normally I’d have to read at least three books in the series to say, but Ms. Kimberly and Mina Hamilton proved that false. This book contained the smooth, yet speedy teenage drama every girl loves to read. Mina sounded like myself, sort of. That’s what kept my motive to read this book going. I used to complain about my parents a lot, only my complaints weren’t turned into a book. She is normal teenager, yet at the same time she isn’t because of her vampire family.
The love drama was beyond excellent. That’s my favorite part of the whole book. I’m a total geek for romance novels. They’re even better with a twist of vampires.

OMG! I Read Sucks to be me like such along time ago, and I totally loved it. It was amazing! I like how Mina isn’t like perfect ALL THE TIME like she makes mistakes. thats really cool, and something I can relate too. Anyway when I finished reading it, i didn’t even know there was going to be a second one. Now I’m shaking from excitement and I can barely contain myself! FOUR BOOKS? YAYAYAYAY! Sucks to be me is truly one of my faves! I loved it!

Hola!(: I just wanted to say that I am a huge reading fanatic and I began your book about 20 minutes ago and I was already spitting out my chocolate milk(no, literally.) The comment about Stephanie Meyer was priceless because… well, just because. I can already tell this book will not be like other gooey and lovey dovey vampire books, but a funny warmfelt book.

Hi Kimberly! I just wanted to stop by and say that I loved “Sucks to Be Me,” and I’m really looking forward to reading the sequel! I can hardly wait until May! I love the persona of Mina, it’s so refreshing to see a character that has attitude (and a sense of humor while enduring G.W.!) in a book about vampires. I’m honestly not a big fan of reading about vampires, because they always seem so stereotypical now (i.e. Twilight vampires).
But I loved the way you portrayed them.

I’ve just finished the book and I have to say that I love the end, I LOVE George (more than an hour ago) and I can’t wait for the second book. I enjoyed it ’cause it’s different (it’s boring reading the same thing about vampires or become a vampire).

I’ve just finished ‘Sucks to be me’. It’s so different to other vampire books I’ve read but I still had a great time reading it. It took me a total of one day to start and finish it. I enjoyed it a lot because it wasn’t all serious the whole way like most vampire books, that was a big bonus. I can’t wait until the next book comes out! (BTW what colour are Mina’s eyes now?)

It depends on what day you ask me. Sometimes it is George and sometimes it is Serena and sometimes it is Mina and sometimes even Uncle Mortie (he makes me laugh).
Raven is definitely in there and you’ll also find out what’s up with Nathan.

yay! blue eyes! my eyes are blue too! cool… i’ve just begun noticing recently that guys are always so much nicer in books (eg. George) than they are in real life. life is so unfair.
Why it sucks to be me:
1. I just lost my best and only friend in april
2. My mom is always gone because of her work(she is gone 3 weeks out of every month
3. I am a freak and get made fun of at school (high school) all the time, so I do not want to go. Once a truancy officer had to force me to school. So now I go to a school where all the bad kids go(I am not going to say why they are bad this is a kids site) it is not jail or any thing but it is where kids go if they are not good at school work. And before all this happenend I was a honour roll student. I was in all AP classes. But at this school I never learn any thing because these kids are on a kindergarden reading level. I am in 10th grade and I have been told I know more then some college kids.
4. My dad just died a day before thanksgiving. He was my best friend. He was the only person who knew me more then I knew myself. He was my sun in a cloud of darkness. He was the kind if person who did not smile alot but when he did his smile could light a black hole.
My mom aways says I should be greatful for the things I do have. But sometimes I feel so depressed I think only Edgar Allen Poe would recognise my depression.
And to make matters worse my mom says we do not have enough money to move intill the middle of the year because of all the new expenses because of my dads death. I am scared every night because my dad did not just die, he killed himself. Everytime I wake up and go down stairs I always think I am going to hear him say goodmorning doll(that is what he always called me) but then I remember I will never see his warming smile ever again. But I am also glad that he is finally at peace. He has been sick for a long time. I
That is why I only have 4 reasons why my life sucks. They are pretty big reasons.
